Soap and perfume as an alternative source of income  

The NGO Philippine Federation for Environmental Concern (PFEC) is developing alternative sources of income to save the forest for communities of people who live in and around the forest. One of these alternative sources of income is citronella oil, the basis for anti-mosquito, soap and perfume.

PFEC asked Sandy van Klei, Ali Hadaui and Joost Wiebenga to recommend about how they can reach their goals in 2008 in the field of quality and sales of citronella oil.

Sandy, Ali and Joost, together with the Phillippine Rodelia Albotra and Kathleen Ramilo, have renewed PFECs businessplan and have made recommendations about improvements in the production process, setting up a marketing policy and a reorganization strategy for PFEC. At this moment SharePeople, PFEC and Joost Wiebenga are examining the need for legal support by Joost Wiebenga for this specific co-operation structure.
