By sharing knowledge locally on specific business cases, the entrepreneur is empowered to strengthen the business and create jobs & livelihoods for the community. A social entrepreneur recognizes a social or environmental problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organise, create and manage a venture to achieve change; socially and/or environmentally. To manage the enterprise in a self-sustainable way, the triple P is to be in balance: Profit, People and/or Planet.
SharePeople believes the social entrepreneur is the spark to change, because growth of small and medium enterprises is the key to poverty alleviation in developing countries. Boosting and empowering this entrepreneurial behaviour is the necessary step towards realizing our vision.
Added value & mutual interest
In everything that SharePeople does, mutual interest is the starting point. This means that both the people from the European corporate world we send out and the organisations, enterprises and professionals in the developing countries must benefit and perceive added value from our activities. We are demand driven: the social entrepreneur requires business knowledge on a specific field of expertise which is not available locally, the European business professional seeks new ways to develop and inspire himself, and looks for a way to contribute to a better world. Both demands are matched individually by SharePeople.
